Researchers warn 2017 was the hottest year on record and global warming is becoming a real threat to Africa’s economic growth and human survival. Kenya’s capital city is struggling under the heavy burden of rapid urbanisation. The Nairobi Water Company has enforced a strict water rationing programme after Ndakaini Dam water levels failed to recover last year. Our continent is also losing many of its natural resources to habitat destruction driven by land use change for economic development.
