South Delhi mayor Kamaljeet Sehrawat said unlike the past, when schools spent the repair funds the way they wanted, strict guidelines have been issued this time. “We will continue to do all that is required to make municipal schools as good as any other school in the city. Every year during summer vacations, the corporations allow schools to undertake repair work. Last year, Ankit Kumar, a six-year-old student of an SDMC school in Kapashera, died after falling into an open septic tank.
