Five members from the BJP, the Congress and the AAP had filed their nominations. Of 104 councillors, 103 members cast their votes on Wednesday and 101 were considered valid by the House. Two resolutionsTwo resolutions proposed by Congress leader Abhishek Dutt and BJP representative Shikha Rai were also passed by the House. The BJP moved a resolution under Section 40 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act.
