SCDHB equal lowest for number of complaints to HDCMYTCHALL BRANSGROVE/FAIRFAX NZ The SCDHB has one of the lowest rates of complaint to the Health and Disability Commissioner of any DHB in the most recently released figures. Fewer complaints were made to the Health and Disability Commissioner (HDC) about the South Canterbury District Health Board (SCDHB) in 2016 compared to the year before. READ MORE: Rising number of complaintsThe most recent figures show only two complaints, regarding the SCDHB, had been received in the second half of 2016. Across the country there were a total of 338 complaints received by the HDC during the second half of 2016. SCDHB chief executive Nigel Trainor told the meeting the number of complaints in the second half of 2016 put it well below the national average.
