MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court Public Information Office has announced the passing of retired high court Associate Justice Justo Torres Jr.Torres served as a member of the Supreme Court from March 11, 1996 to Nov. 1, 1997. The SC En Banc mourns the passing today of its 138th Associate Justice, Hon. Justo P. Torres Jr. who served on the Court from March 11, 1996 to November 1, 1997. After hanging his robes at the SC, Torres continued to serve the legal profession as a member of the Philippine Judicial Academy as vice chancellor.
