SC extends stay on mobile court by three weeks


The Supreme Court has extended for three more weeks the stay on the High Court order that declared illegal running mobile courts by executive magistrates. The apex court came up with the order as the state represented by Attorney General Mahbubey Alam pleaded time in the case. On May 11, the High Court declared illegal of the operation of mobile court by the executive magistrate and later on May 14 after hearing on a government appeal the Chamber Judge stayed until May 18. On May 21, the Supreme Court adjourned the verdict of the High Court till July 2. Later, the Supreme Court extended the time for several times.
