Mr. McDermott said he bought the Jupiter Island home from Mr. Jackson in 2012 for $10.45 million, plus an additional amount for its contents. Mr. McDermott said the house remains almost exactly as it was when Mr. Jackson lived there, with the country star’s furniture still in place. That even includes two white cars that were “color-coordinated to match the garage.”Just as Mr. Jackson did, Mr. McDermott said he is willing to sell the home’s contents—maybe even the guitar that Mr. Jackson signed for him. Like nearby Palm Beach, Jupiter Island is a narrow barrier island on the Atlantic Ocean. Mr. McDermott recently bought a vacant parcel of land on the Intracoastal in Palm Beach for $14.11 million.
