The Philippine National Police (PNP) awarded on Monday more than a hundred members of the police and military, who won the first Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Challenge. Gen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa at Camp Crame in Quezon City. According to Dela Rosa, the SWAT Challenge – which involves firing/shooting and tactical competitions – could help improve the readiness of police and military in disaster response, and terror attacks. The PNP held the national SWAT Challenge on March 1 to 3 in Davao City. The next SWAT Challenge will be held this September.
