BOSTON — It was a scary scene at TD Garden on Saturday night as Ottawa Senators winger Scott Sabourin was removed from the ice on a stretcher. The Senators stated in an update that Sabourin was taken to hospital and was doing OK.“Scott Sabourin was transported to local hospital by ambulance for evaluation,” the club said in a statement. Sabourin hit the ice and lay motionless for an extended period of time. A shaken Backes left the Bruins bench in the first period as well. The replay is difficult to watch because it immediately appears that Sabourin is unconscious.
