POPULAR South Korean actor Gang Dong-won, 36, is set to star in a Hollywood movie titled ‘Tsunami LA’, marking his first appearance in a foreign movie. According to a recent news report by Yonhap News Agency, Gang was cast in a lead role in the movie, which is about a massive tidal wave that hits Los Angeles. Directed by Briton Simon West, the film is in pre-production and is set to be produced on a budget of US$55 million (RM224.8 million) through Hannibal Classics and Foresight Unlimited. Also, people of my generation loved West’s Con Air,” Gang was quoted as saying by United States entertainment news media Variety. “It is a rare opportunity to get a lead role in a Hollywood film for my international debut.”Gang is an award-winning actor who previously starred in The Priests (2015) and My Brilliant Life (2014).
