The continent's most industrialised economy shuttered its borders at the start of a strict nationwide lockdown on March 27 to limit the spread of the virus. "We have withstood the coronavirus storm," Ramaphosa said in an address to the nation. South Africa will start by reopening its three main airports in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. "We are ready to open our doors again to the world," Ramaphosa said.
