This means that South Africa’s offshore wind potential is equivalent to eight times the electricity needs of the nation. Morocco planning for offshore wind projectsRegarding Morocco, GWEC says that although there are no set targets for the development of offshore wind, the government is taking serious steps in considering the possibility of this technology in the region.
