Speaking during the last broadcast of The Ryan Tubridy Show on Virgin Radio, he said: “I will be on the move, I am moving away to different pastures, you will have a new host and you’ll be in safe hands. Tubridy is also “developing” a new show for TalkSport in the UK, with further details to be confirmed in the future. “It is with great gratitude that I finish my two years at Virgin Radio UK, where I had the time of my life with the greatest bunch of people. “They made me feel welcome and valued which I will never forget, but I can’t wait to get started on these shows. Tubridy left RTÉ where he had been hosting a daily morning radio show, in 2023, following weeks of controversy relating to the organisation publicly under-reporting payments to him.
