After much speculation, Ryan Seacrest confirmed on Live with Kelly and Ryan (which he also hosts) that he would be returning to host ABC's revival of American Idol. "The show is going, we thought well and then all of a sudden we broke up," Seacrest said on-air Thursday morning, referring to the end of Fox's Idol. "It’s genuinely hard to put into words what American Idol means to me," Seacrest said in a statement. "To be asked to return this year, at my new home at Disney|ABC, is an honor, if not a bit surreal. I believe ABC is the perfect home for ‘Idol,’ and I’ve every confidence the show’s legions of fans will love it..."
