Peterhead winger Ryan Conroy has called on the Blue Toon to kick on in the league after a positive League Cup campaign. Saturday’s defeat by St Johnstone at Balmoor ended hopes of progression to the last-16 for Jim McInally’s men. Conroy, 33, said: “I think in the four games we’ve never really been in trouble and the first half against Kelty was probably the worst we’ve played. “However, St Johnstone had a bit of quality at the end and they scored their two penalties, but what can you do with that? But we still made it hard for them and some of the St Johnstone players said that after the game was over.”
