General News of Saturday, 2 February 2019Source: Kofi OkyereRwanda trained lawyers sue Ghana School of Law, othersFile photoAn embattled group of lawyers who had their training at the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) in Rwanda have filed a suit against the Ghana Legal Council and Ghana School of Law over being prevented from pursuing the Post Call Law Course in Ghana. According to reasons given by the Directorate of the Ghana School of Law, the aggrieved lawyers have been denied admission to pursue further studies in the Post Call Law Course, basing their reason for refusing us on a reciprocity letter duly written by the registrar of the Ghana school of law who doubles as the board secretary of legal education in Ghana. The issue has also attracted criticism from the Rector of the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) in Rwanda where Dr. Didas Kayihura has questioned the basis of, the Director of the Ghana School of Law,Mr. "We therefore need justice because we cannot rely on a professional's agreement and take steps to be treated like this; we need justice. we need justice"
