President William Ruto/PCSPresident William Ruto on Friday used his development tour of Taita Taveta to deliver a message to the Opposition, saying it engages in politics of name-calling and lacks an alternative development agenda. He said the Opposition had failed to present a credible alternative to the government’s development agenda, and urged critics to focus on constructive proposals rather than personal attacks. He told Opposition leaders: “William Ruto is not an agenda. It is a person's name,” saying they had reduced national debate into personal attacks instead of policy discussions. President Ruto maintained that his administration would not be distracted by opposition attacks, insisting that it remained focused on delivering development projects across the country, especially in transport and infrastructure.
