Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday evening defiantly addressed thousands of Kenya Kwanza supporters at the historic Tononoka grounds in Mombasa. Earlier on, the Deputy President had accused the government of trying to stop the rally because of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tour to the region. Ruto arrived at Tononoka grounds at 5 pm, just a few hours after President Uhuru commissioned the Makupa Bridge at 3:30 pm. That nothing has been going on in government because of the handshake,” said President Uhuru. While addressing the Tononoka rally, Ruto told President Uhuru that he is not a liar and has always stood by what he has said.
