President William Ruto has called for another parliamentary group meeting this week. The meeting to be held on Tuesday is the sixth since he assumed office with the last having been held on April 11 at Statehouse. Ruto is also set to use the meeting to implore the legislators to pass the finance bill, 2023 once it is presented in the House. National Assembly's departmental committee on finance and national planning will on Monday begin conducting public participation. While Opposition leaders have opposed the bill, their counterparts in the Kenya Kwanza have given strong indications of approving it.
