President William Ruto has backed the proposal for an open ballot system during the voting for the Finance Bill 2023. Ruto said he is waiting to see the legislators who were going to oppose the Bill. The Bill which is already at the National Assembly awaiting the MPs' decision, has been subject to fierce criticism from leaders and Kenyans alike. Ruto called upon the Kenya Kwanza legislators to pass it while the opposition leader Raila Odinga has called unto Azimio MPs to reject it. "We will push for an open voting method for the Finance Bills and we shall count them one by one," Kalonzo said.
