Al-Aqsa mosque completely shut down for Muslims during RamadanSince the beginning of the war with Iran, Israeli authorities have shut down Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City and completely banned Palestinians from praying in or around the holy site - as Ramadan approaches its climax. Officials say it is a public safety measure to protect people during air raids and point to similar restrictions at other places of worship in the Old City.
