Russian officials have admitted wrongdoing in some cases while denying that the Sochi lab was corrupted. From mid-February to mid-May, testers from the United Kingdom performed 455 tests on Russian athletes. Since the release of the report, more athletes have pressured the IAAF and the IOC to keep Russian athletes out of the Games to ensure a clean competition. After that report was released in November, the IAAF council suspended Russia’s athletics organization, and its track and field athletes from international competition. IOC President Thomas Bach has said that Russian sports federations could be banned from the Summer Games if the allegations are true.
