Russia reveals how world's first Covid-19 vaccine will work

The vaccine has been developed jointly by the Gamaleya Research Institute and the Russian Defence Ministry, reports Livemint. Reports said that Prof Alexander Gintsburg and other researchers tried the vaccine on themselves. Earlier, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that members of "risk groups," such as medical workers, may be offered the vaccine this month. While Russia is getting prepared to register the vaccine, top US infectious disease specialist Dr Anthony Fauci sounded a note of caution.
