Photo: CollectedKYIV, Ukraine, March 10, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Russian strikes killed two peopleand wounded more than a dozen others in the embattled eastern Ukrainian townof Sloviansk, regional authorities announced Tuesday. The Kremlin's forces are grinding towards the industrial hub located in thewider Donetsk region, where Russia has concentrated its firepower sinceinvading in February 2022. "Enemy forces struck one of the districts of Sloviansk -- at least two deadand 17 wounded, including a 14-year-old child," Ukrainian investigators said. They also posted images showing burnt-out vehicles and a Soviet-eraresidential building gutted in the strikes. There was no immediate response from Moscow, which claims its forces do nottarget civilians, and also that the Donetsk region is part of Russia.
