A Manawatū agritech group plans to bring on another wave of ideas to help the agriculture industry. The Rural Innovation Lab held a muster on Wednesday, showcasing the farmer and grower entrepreneurs it has worked with across the region in the past year. In the 10 months this year we've run 10 events, engaged with 150 farmers and growers, and had 50 applications for innovation projects." From 50 applicants this year, the lab had four innovation projects: affordable rural broadband access, a carbon calculator, an online sharing platform for farm equipment and a Māori agribusiness collective.
