And now Rupert has defended his stance on slamming the author's views, saying he still has "huge respect" for the author despite disagreeing with her opinions. In June last year, Rupert joined his Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson to release a statement in response to JK's controversial views. He told The Times: "Trans women are women. "I firmly stand with the trans community and echo the sentiments expressed by many of my peers."
