Share:ISLAMABAD - The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee continued bearish trend as it declined by 22 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday and closed at Rs 163.89 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 163.67. According to Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 163.7 and Rs 164.7 respectively. Similarly, the price of euro appreciated by 15 paisas and closed at Rs 194.72 against the last day’s trading of Rs 194.57, the State Bank of Pakistan reported. The Japanese Yen gained one paisa to close at Rs 1.50, whereas an increase of 09 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 227.98 as compared to its last closing of Rs 227.89. The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 06 paisas each to close at Rs 44.61 and Rs 43.70 respectively.
