The hearing in law student Jakia Sultana Rupa’s rape and murder case has finished with the court setting February 12 for delivering the verdict. Rupa was gang-raped aboard a moving bus of ‘Chhoa Paribahan’ and murdered when travelling to Mymensingh from Bogra on August 25 last year. Twenty-seven out of 32 witnesses testified before the court in the case. After completion of the hearing, the tribunal fixed the date for delivering the verdict on Monday.
