A cyclist was taken to hospital after running a red light and colliding with a car in Dunedin yesterday afternoon. Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen, of Dunedin, said the cyclist was riding north in George St when he failed to stop at the Hanover St lights and collided with a car. The man was taken to hospital with a sore head and a small cut, Snr Sgt Dinnissen said. Also reported to police yesterday was a man having a "cook-up" in the bushes near Tomahawk Rd, which started a small fire. "A male was located having a cookup in the bushes there having set some of the trees there on fire."
