Only after would those in the team participate in media debates on behalf of the party,” a joint statement issued by AIADMK coordinator O. Panneerselvam and co-coordinator Edappadi K. Palaniswami said on Tuesday. Incidentally, during a party meeting on Monday, there were heated exchanges among senior functionaries over airing of views on internal developments on TV and on social media platforms. In the wake of the merger of opposing factions and the Election Commission’s decision to de-freeze the ‘two leaves’ symbol, the party is conscious of its image.
