Within a matter of days, Nitish reciprocated by expanding his own cabinet in Bihar government and offered single seat to the BJP among eights berths. The growing angst reflected again within hours when leaders of both BJP and JD(U) skipped iftar party hosted by their respective top leaders – Sushil Modi and Nitish Kumar. While it is a non-negotiable area for the BJP that owes its existence to the RSS, Nitish is known for being an outspoken RSS baiter. Not long ago he had given a call for RSS Mukt Bharat (RSS free India). At the same time, RJD leaders like Raghuvansh Prasad Singh and Shakti Yadav have also made no secret of openly soliciting the JD(U).
