Acer just announced a new Chromebook at the British Education and Training Technology (BETT) Show in London, however, that aims to address specialized classroom use-cases – the Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (model R751T)“Today’s students and teachers depend more than ever on the power of technology to improve learning outcomes. “With our new Chromebook Spin 11, students get a ruggedized and easy-to-use device for learning, while school administrators get a cost-effective laptop package for their schools, helping both students and staff to make the most of what modern technology can deliver.”Acer incorporated some interesting features and technology into the Chromebook Spin 11. The Chromebook 11 Spin is also ruggedized and is compliant with the U.S. military MIL-STD 810G spec, so it can take more of a beating than mainstream Chromebooks. In addition, the Acer Chromebook Spin 11 features a Wacom EMR (Electro-Magnetic Resonance) stylus that gives users the ability to write and draw directly on its 11.6” touch-screen, to mimic pen and paper. The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 weighs in at 3.1lbs, measures just 11.7” (W) x 8.1” (D) x .8” (H), and according to Acer, offers up to 10 hours of battery life.
