Early this afternoon Karl stood at the 25th floor reception of the Park Hotel in central Tokyo. After an 11-hour flight from London he was ready for an afternoon nap. Alas his room wouldn’t be ready for an hour or more. Karl wasn’t sure how funny this was. Before leaving home he’d heard about the potential for bad weather affecting this weekend’s fixtures at the Rugby World Cup.
