SportNavy SC survived a gallant comeback by Havelocks SC and registered a thrilling 28-26 win in the semi-final of the Dialog Clifford Cup Knockout Championship at the Racecourse ground today (21). The halftime was deadlocked 12-12 as Navy lost momentum and the Havies took control to lead the game by a point, 26-25 with almost 15 minutes to the final whistle. But the Sailors earned a crucial penalty in the final minute which gave them a thrilling 28-26 win. Havies scored from four tries and three conversions. Navy will meet Kandy in the final of the Dialog Clifford Cup Knockout Championship at Longdon Place on Sunday (25).
