Dr Kapu, as he was popularly known, joined the KSC administration in 1989, along with his friend Dr S. Jayakuru, and rose to be President, proposed by another friend Dr D.M. This was the year he became President for the first time and KSC won its first trophy that year. Born in Matale, Dr Kapu schooled at S. Thomas’ College Mt. He was also one-time President of the Central Province Rugby Football Union and also the President of the Kandy District Table Tennis Association. Dr. Kapu is no more, but his memories remain forever in the minds of all those who knew his qualities.
