SportDefending champions Kandy SC scraped through to beat Army SC by 29-20 in a second round match of the Dialog League Rugby Championship played at Ratmalana today (3). Army played some stirring rugby in the first half to lead the champions 17-14 at the break. But Kandy SC weathered that early storm and emerged winners with a tally of four tries, three conversions and a penalty. Army scored from two converted tries.
