Ruckus in council over water shortage

The Alappuzha municipal council meeting on Thursday witnessed a ruckus over shortage of drinking water in the municipal area. Health Standing Committee chairman A.A. Rasak said that the water supply had been disrupted in the municipal area for the past five days. He alleged lackadaisical attitude on the part of the Kerala Water Authority for disruption in water supply. However, the opposition LDF members blamed municipal authorities for shortage of drinking water. Later, the council meeting decided to approach the District Collector to seek a solution to the water crisis.
