Semedo's agents have told Spanish media the player denies any wrongdoing. Villarreal said on Tuesday they were investigating Semedo, who was signed from Sporting Lisbon last summer, and would take appropriate disciplinary action. Semedo has made five appearances in all competitions since his arrival at the La Liga side, who are in Europa League action against Lyon on Thursday.
