Prince Harry regards Botswana as his second home and has spent more than 20 years visiting the country, as well as other parts of the continent where he is the patron and founder of charities covering conservation, HIV/Aids relief and child poverty. Meghan Markle was no stranger to Africa either, having worked as a World Vision goodwill ambassador and visited Rwanda seven months earlier to promote a clean-water project. Prince Harry has visited some of Africa’s remotest places and would have known where to take his new girlfriend to be assured of privacy.
