But there are new fears that Abigail Boyle, the country's leading ballerina, is to join the exodus from the troubled national ballet company. In a statement on Saturday, the Royal New Zealand Ballet said she had not resigned from the company. STEPHEN A'COURT Patricia Barker was appointed as the artistic director of the Royal New Zealand Ballet in June this year. Michael Auer also works alongside his wife at the Michigan-based Grand Rapids Ballet Company – both have been jetsetting between the US company and the Royal New Zealand Ballet.
