Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore is calling accusations of sexual misconduct against him "scurrilous and false," but he declined to take questions from reporters about them on Thursday. He says he will be staying in the race for the U.S. Senate despite calls from fellow Republicans to step down. Nelson accused Moore of assaulting her when she was a teenager and he was in his 30s. At a news conference outlining her allegations, Nelson showed a yearbook with an inscription she said Moore wrote for her. The Alabama Republican Party said on Thursday it supported Moore, who previously served as chief justice of Alabama's Supreme Court.
