Former Montreal Expos slugger Vladimir Guerrero and retired Toronto Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay are among the 2017 Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame inductees. Longtime Baseball Canada president Ray Carter and umpire Doug Hudlin will also be enshrined in St. Marys, Ont., on June 24. The Canadian team that won gold at the 2015 Pan American Games will also be inducted. "My oldest son now 16 was born in Toronto and considers himself Canadian," Halladay stated in a news release. Carter, Hudlin in 2017 classCarter was the president of Baseball Canada for from 2000 to 2016, the longest-serving president in the organization's history.
