Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga’s ODM membership recruitment drive in Bungoma County was marred with fracas from rowdy youths who disrupted his Posta ground meeting. Rowdy youths who were chanting ‘Weta’ ‘Weta’ rained stones on the ODM delegates meeting that was ongoing at Posta grounds. Addressing the chaos, ODM SG Edwin Sifuna condemned the attacks saying it is an outdated mode of politicking. “Those dishing out handouts to the youths to throw stones at us and distract our peaceful meetings aren’t gentle enough. Nowadays the political style has changed, we compete with brains not throwing stones,” Sifuna said.
