At a meeting of the sports council administrative committee recently, it was decided that A. Pradeep Kumar, MLA, would allocate ₹20 lakh and the sports council would allocate ₹17.5 lakh for the construction of the park. Catering to the needs of children aged below 10, the park will have two basketball courts, two football courts, and a small swimming pool. Mr. Vijaya Kumar alleged that adults too were using the pool now. “It is now reported that they are planning to construct a park too there. With the widening of the Mananchira-Vellimadukunnu Road, the school is all set to lose two classrooms and an office room.
