Round the clock security for 300 polling stations

Police officers who were on leave in Rift Valley have been recalled to increase security in Baringo, Laikipia and Kerio Valley ahead of the election. The GSU, regular police and National Police Reservists will provide security to IEBC officials and locals. More than 300 polling stations in high-risk areas will have round-the-clock security from Friday. DCI boss Ndegwa Muhoro on Monday said security will be enhanced in all areas to ensure Kenyans vote in a peaceful environment. “The security of all Kenyans and IEBC officials will be guaranteed during these polls,” Muhoro said.
