It is the second police shooting in as many days, with Hamilton police shooting a man dead in Hamilton on Tuesday night. Police said after receiving initial first aid at the scene, the shot man was taken to Rotorua Hospital for treatment. However, he would not be drawn on what the shot man said to them. The condition of the man shot by police in Rotorua on Thursday is not yet known.
