This was indicated in the disgruntled group’s letter addressed to various Hospital Directors across the 16 regions of the country. The service personnel, expressing their discontentment, noted that despite the failure to release the funds, authorities had not provided any information on the reasons for the nonpayment. The letter read in part: “We the nurses and midwives on rotations in the various hospitals nationwide have come to a conclusion to vacate post and lay down our working tools effective 1st October 2021. The statement further stressed that they are anticipating that their letter of request would reach the appropriate authorities so they can be attended to.
