Rosman to go down hard on women's doubles

BANGKOK: The women’s doubles department may see drastic changes following the Uber Cup team’s dismal performance. National women's doubles coach Rosman Razak said: "Many said we would do well here following Vivian Hoo-Chow Mei Kuan’s gold medal feat at last month’s Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Maybe it is time to give more exposure to the younger players as the older ones are not really going anywhere," said Rosman, who took charge of the women’s doubles department last month. On whether he was looking at axing under performing shuttlers, Rosman replied: "Yes. “Next year, we will also have some players moving up the ranks from the Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS),” he added.
