The Grey Cup champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers have lost one of their all-stars on defence to the NFL. Cornerback Winston Rose, the CFL’s interceptions leader in 2019, has signed a contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bombers on Friday announced they’ve released Rose from his contract early so he could take the Bengals’ offer. Rose had NFL workouts planned soon after helping the Bombers win the 107th Grey Cup. Rose joined the Bombers as a free agent last year, after a season in B.C.
