Abe Rosal cruised to a nine-stroke romp despite a 79 while Gerald Katigbak fired a two-under 70 to retain his crown in the Philippine Seniors and Mid-Amateur Open Championships at the Mt. Rosal, who all but wrapped up his first seniors championship with a one-under 71 Thursday, played pressure-free at the Mt. Cabajar shot a 74 for a 156 while Earel Gardiola wound up third with a 157 after an 81. Philip Lindog carded an 84 for a 160 and beat Walter Lacuesta (83-164) for the Mid Am Open Division diadem; while Boom Coscolluela scrambled for an 88 and a 175 and held off Johnyton de Guzman (86-178) for the Division II title. Other net winners were Jerome Hernandez (85-138-Mid Am I), John Marc Andaya (72-139-Mid Am II), Adormeo Garcia (71-134-Senior Division I), Butch Bacunawa (72-138-Senior Division II), and Noli Macasaet (68-136-Super Senior).
